[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Banshee plates

I am looking to get plates for my Banshee plate carrier. I am looking at the AR500 plates the 10"x12". I would like to hear what you guys think or what you have done with your Banshee or plate carrier.

I have the infidel body armor plates. I did build some half inch backers out of gym floor mat that you buy at academy, which filled the pockets nicely. I eventually took the backers out as it made a noticeable difference in how bulky the carrier felt.

I have The Target Man's plates in mine. I like them. If you adjust your carrier to fit you correctly the weight isn't bad. If you're not used to it, you'll need to learn to shoulder a rifle with a carrier. That is the biggest complaint of people not used to shooting with a carrier, that they can't shoulder the rifle correctly.

I don't have a Banshee anymore, but still have my AR500 plates from The Targetman in my Mayflower APC.

How do you like your AR500 playes ive heard good things just that they are heavy.
