Barrel > GSG-5 > AR15.COM

The factory barrel that comes stock on the GSG-5 is stainless steel right? The reason I ask is that it seems dull for stainless and I thought that it might be just a steel barrel that was not blued or parked, can anyone confirm or deign this?

I don't think it's stainless.

Mine tarnished pretty easily from handling.

Most stock barrels are brass. I have a bunch of steel and stainless steel airsoft barrels here at our shop for various Airsoft guns.

The higher end aftermarket ones are steel and stainless.

GSG-5 barrel looks just like my PDI stainless barrel for my $1500.00 dollar Systema PTW M4-A1 airsoft rifle lol. Heck, I've even got some higher end Japanese Airsoft barrels that are even rifled like the GSG-5 barrel. :)

The barrel is not stainless and its also not lined. Its just mild steel with no finish. IT WILL RUST.

no i have a ceramic coating setup as well as a poweder coater i did the work myself the coating is good for 2000 degs its sparyed on with a airbrush gun and cured at 300deg for 20min
