Hey guys, I am hoping to pick up one of the new ARAK-31 uppers in 308 and use my Specwar-762 with it.  My question is does it matter what length barrel I get?

Ive heard that the odds of keyholing and baffle strikes is much higher with shorter barrels. Is there much chance of a bullet not being stabilized or being too stabilized with 16', 18' and 20' barrels?  I primarily use 168gr soft points?

16" is plenty.

Those warnings are for short (10") barrels.

Twist-rate is more important for bullet stabilization than barrel length. Anything non-SBR length is gonna be fine as long as you use bullets appropriate for your twist rate.

These barrels have a 1/8 twist.  What weight ammo is ideal for that twist?
