I'm no longer "up" on rifle work, but as I recall, the pre-64 Winchester Model 70 had a special cut for the extractor not used on the later rifles. I'm not even sure the threads are the same. Yeah, that kind of is the deal here. I have an FN PBR and I just bought a McMillan stock and barrel for an FN SPR. The SPR is a control round feed gun and has a the notch in it. Just wondering if I can use it or if I have to put it in the "future projects" pile. I guess I just assumed that they were the same thread pitch. |
