[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Barrel profile

Hi I was browsing through the Lgs and I've noticed the m400 for the first time. I looked under the handguards and I've noticed it's a thicker profile than standard gov profile barrels and there's no 203 cut. Is this a barrel only sig uses. What's the purpose of it being thick. I don't think it's a socom barrel
