This is how we do it in EOD. Enjoy.

Thanks. I probably built that gun years ago. It has the older high rise scope rail, that puts it pre-2000 or so. We built a bunch for USAF EOD around then.
Army EOD has had them for quit some time before that.

BUT COULD YOU BUMP FIRE IT?

I have done it with the older guns like the one in the video. The new ones with the different disconnector make it much harder to do.

Bumping the 82A1 is no different than any other rifle. If you catch the trigger just right by putting your trigger finger against the floor of the trigger gaurd and very lightly apply pressure to the very bottom of the trigger shoe and just let the rifle rock against the trigger finger, you can dump the mag.
It's the cats ass!!

We made a 20 round mag once by cutting the feed lip area of one mag off and cutting the floor plate tabs off another mag, weld the lipless mag to the bottom of the tabless mag, and there ya go 20rd Barrett mag. You do need to streeeeeetch the mag spring to get it to feed reliably. But when you do, good times can be had by all!

After setting m82A1's in and out of the racks day after day for 12 years, it really gets to be no big deal.
Looking at .50 BMG shell is no biggie anymore either. Just looks like a slightly oversize 30-06 to me anymore.

I have got the gun to do double shot before. In fact, the maker of the gun insisted that there is no possible way and that we could never reproduce the effects. This is when we brought our very own M82A1 down to Mr. Barrett and double tapped it right on his own range. It was good times =D
