I've got one.  It's a fine entry-level rifle.  Be nice if they came with a monopod.  You can get one freom Barrett but they're $$$.  I got the one with the 32" bbl.  If I ever manage to use the bbl up, I've heard it's a pain to get Barrett to press in a new one.  Seems to have good accuracy.  Mine came with the 10x Bushnell Elite and adjustable Barrett rings.  While not my first choice in scopes, it hasn't crapped out yet with many hundreds of rounds on the gun.  When disassembling the gun, I still have to 'wiggle' the bolt out through the hole in the frame.  It's not at all like breaking down a rem or win action.  I wouldn't hesitate to recomment this as a first .50.

Well I like mine. But I just got it last Saturday.....So far very happy. I have read that the Bushnell 3200 is prone to getting busted up....BUT that may be just a few., and not the norm. As mentioned above, after several rounds good to go.....also, a little off topic, but this is my first post here, because I also picked up Bushmaster M4, so I was needing a place for good info....

Who makes that suppressor? How quiet is it and how does it affect recoil?  Looks awesome on your M99.

My 99's great. The muzzle brake Barrett uses now is the tits. Recoil is less that shooting stout 12g loads, the main thing is the pressure wave from the brake. You DO NOT want to be standing close to the brake when it fires. I bought mine after a ton of research, it's the most accurate gun Barrett makes, and I'm not going to be worried about finding parts for it ten years from now. My two main pieces of advice are buy from Schryver Guns, and get the 32" barrel. It will let you use a wider (cheaper) variety of powder. If you're ever in Florida you're welcome to shoot mine.

I love mine . I've had it for about 6 months. It is the most accurate model that Barrett makes as of now. It is by far the easiest to clean and maintain out of the 3 50's. I can't think of any down falls. My M99 came with a Swarovski 10 power fixed, so I can't comite on the Bushnell Elite scope.

I really like mine.

I have not regretted the decision at all.
