I know they are cheaper but what makes a Bassett scope mount better than any other 1 point scope mount?  wouldn't a Sadlak hold a heavy scope more effectively?

I am not an engineer, but I have the new version of the Bassett mount. I received and installed it per directions (22" lbs) I have close to 500 rounds with it mounted and It is rock solid. Must be magic I guess. On their mount, there is a vertical and horizontal rod which mate with the grooves on the receiver. What ever they are doing, they are doing it right.

I do not have a Bassett, and can not comment on them as I have never handled or used one.  I can say I have confidence in the Sadlak mounts, Steel, Aluminum and Titanium.
