Questions....

Will blasting with glass beads remove anodizing?  I understand that sand blasting will definitely remove it, but glass beads don't cut as much, so I was hoping that would work.

Also, medium grit beads good to use in general?  Have a few BHPs that I want to work on, too.

I've personally never used glass beads. I aluminum oxide blast everything. And yes, that takes anodizing off.

I get hollered at everytime I talk about removing it too. Head over to Wikipedia and type in anodizing.  You'll find out it is a GREAT finish, but it really doesn't add a ton of strength to metal. The guys I know in the painting business laugh at me when I ask that question. We all have an opinion.

Mine is, blast it.
