Looking to pick me up an auto for sept when the TX law changes

anybody own one?? how do you like it?? can you pocket carry with the safety off or does it have a tendency to have an accidental discharge?

ETA: just saw they offer the adamas in auto too..id rather have 154cm over d2, but i like the AXIS auto better than the push button..plus the adamas just looks bad ass

I have a few side-firing autos, the AFOII being the stand-out in the crowd.  It's built like a tank and can be carried tip/up down, right/left pocket.  No concerns with inadvertant blade deployment, as the AFOII has 1 feature to minimize that and 1 feature to prevent it.  Part of the AFOII redesign over the AFO, was to incorporate resistance on the firing button so it won't fire so easily when bumped, this minimizes the potential of premature firing.  The AFOII also has a manual slide lock to lock the blade in place.  Here's a pic of slide lock.

It's a kick-ass auto that's capable of being abused.

I have an AFO II.  It's a good knife and I like 154CM.  The novelty of firing it kind of wore off for me.  My non-assisted Benchmades and Spydercos deploy just as quickly and lock up probably a tiny bit more solidly.

Still, it is a well built knife and nice to have.

I love my AFO II.  I don't use the lock when I'm carrying it - only when I leave it in the dresser.  No "surprises" so far.

I had the original AFO. When I carried it I could carry safety off with no worries. You have to push the button to make the blade come out. Something brushing against it in the pocket will not cause the blade to open.
