Earlier in the year I started looking for an overbuilt folder.  Man I wish I'd bought the Benchmade first!  Great blade shape, the Axis lock is nice, and just everything about the design and build is great.  They must use thread locker on the clip screws so I ended up taking a drill to them but that's my only nitpick.

I tried a ZT 0560 and a Spyderco Lionspy and they didn't make the cut.  I still like the Spyderco but I like the Benchmade better.  The ZT was a turd.

Not my photo but mine is just like this:

nice knife.  those have a reputation for being a beast or a folder.  axis lock is very respected.  D2 is a tough steel.

I say:  win.

Great knife! I love mine....and with Benchmade's Lifesharp Service, you can't go wrong.....I was able to score a 275 and an 810 Contego a couple of years ago before they changed to MAP pricing...two of my favorite knives.

Next time try putting the tip of a soldering iron on the screw head to soften up the locktite

Wow that is a good tip. I will have to remember that one!

So what were the issues with the 0560?

I'm currently looking at the ZT 0562, BM 275, and a custom BM Grip w/ M390.  I like the idea of the 275, but the D2 isn't much of an improvement over my current S30V EDC (from 8 years ago!).

I've had mine over a year now. It's stood up to some serious abuse. Love it.

I daily carried the same knife in the tan finish for about 2 years before I switched to a barrage/mini barrage. Built like a tank, and has now become the folder I bring with me camping etc.

I've got the Axis lock on my Auto Rift.  I'm not a huge fan of the motion required to deploy it.  I also would like something larger.  Does Benchmade offer any larger autos? Preferably 4" or so.

Benchmade Rift with grey G10 scales is my favorite knife, personal carry or on the job.

Love my 275, my first bench made I bought. You can get the 2750 which is the auto version

I got the 375 fixed blade first, and then decided I wanted a folder. After that, I just decided to go with the 2750 to round out the bunch.

*sorry for pic size and quality
