I sent my Benchmade Osborne in to be sharpened on July 6.  I have not received it back yet and I’m starting to get worried that it was lost or stolen.

Anybody know how long this service normally takes?

Benchmade LifeSharp

I don't remember how long it took me, as I've only done it once because I was curious. Though I don't remember it being more than 2 weeks. There's a phone number on the page I linked you, can't hurt to call and ask.

They have quite the backlog, it took over three weeks to get my 5000 back

Although they did a great job, besides shapening, they cleaned the action up, much faster now.

I called today, they said 30 - 40 days, so I guess I'll be waiting another week or so.

Ummm, grindstone sharpening is not really recommended for any knife, according to me.

Sure it is fine for a throw away, but a quality tool deserves care and a whetstone.

I usually run my knife over to them on my lunch break and drop it off. 2 out of 3, they call me and I pick it up on the way home. One of the advantges of working in the next town over. :)
