Hey guys, This is my first attempt at writing just a quick review. If you guys find it useful I will write more here in the future. Both in blades and other gear.

The Benchmade Nimravus has been my go to fixed blade for 3 years now.  It is a ferocious, scary sharp slicer with surprising versatility.

Overall Look, Size, and Feel:  The Benchmade Nimravus has a blade length of 4.5 inches made of 154cm premium steel.  It is available in comboedge and plain edge, and coated with Benchmade’s usual BK1 black coating. Benchmade is now using G10 grips instead of the micarta ones like I have, I have handled and played with the new G10 handle equipped knives and can say they are a SWEET upgrade. The knife is extremely well balanced and just fits the hand perfectly. Whenever someone first picks it up, they are almost always stunned at how lightweight it is. With that in mind, it bears saying that the Nimravus is meant to be a slicer and piercer, don’t be planning on using it to baton and chop down tree limbs.

Performance:  What can I say, I have been nothing but absolutely pleased with this knife. The Nimravus has performed such duties as slicing up kindling for a fire, cutting countless amounts of para-cord, cutting smaller branches to construct some concealment for a snipers hide. This knife is ideal for jumpmaster duty. It is really just an everyday go to knife.

Price:  The Benchmade Nimravus retails at $180. With buying a Benchmade you also buy Benchmade’s lifetime warranty. You can also send your knife in to be sharpened for free using Benchmade’s Lifesharp program!!!. Made in the U.S.A

Beat your boots Jumpmaster!

Tell me - are the sheaths it comes with worth a shit?

And tell me about the wear on the blade

I've been trying to decide between one of these or an ESEE.

Haha. Good times!

The nylon sheath is my preferred carry method. It has a plastic/kydex lining inside of it to keep it stiff. As far as sheaths go, it is on of the nicer ones I've come across.
The kydex sheath has lots of mounting options, and a little thumb lock/switch(whatever), the lock does nothing to keep the knife locked. But serves as a thumb push rather. It is well constructed.

The wear on this knife is from using it to pry open some doors in some far away lands.

I took that upper loop off the top of the sheath since I had no plans of wearing it hanging from a regular belt.

For those that don't know, The back side has molle and a molle stick. I'll take photos of it tonight.

ya I took the top loop off mine too. But it does have some stupid velcro on the back of the sheath. Thinking of cutting it off.

Thanks for the photo! I was misinterpreting what you were saying. Yeah I would just cut that off if it bothers you.

I really love mine. I've got the Tanto straight edged version and its scary! sharp. Very well Built knife but I despise the sheath so ill have one made when I decide to have a new holster made.

US Elite, I didn't know you guys were a dealer here, welcome!
I have a couple of those same stickers, from guessing your .45 Black Talon question correctly on FB. Glad to see you here, and thank you for the quick review on the knife.

I certainly do. The Adamas have some sentimental meaning to us at US Elite as it is a tribute to the Ranger Battalions.
The fixed blade or 375 is a BEAST of a knife. The Adamas is heavier than the Nimravus and feels a lot beefier in the hand, but not too heavy. It really just comes down to how you plan on using the knife for choosing between the two as they are both awesome. We chose Benchmade as our spotlight brand for October.

Benchmade makes the Nimravus with aluminum grips now. They're cheaper but not reflected in the cost, not as grippy as the G10, and suck without gloves in the elements. Highly disappointed in them right now after looking at them.
