I just got one from us Calvary. This thing came super super dull. Like I could not stab paper with it. I already own about 15 other benchmade knifes and they all come super sharp. Is it just this knife or maybe I got a fake?

Fake or you ended up with the training dagger.

The training dagger is red and missing the point

It could be the California compliant model.

I've got one. Mine isn't super sharp either, but that really isn't the intention.  It's not made for cutting, it's a defensive stabbing tool.  I'd say as long as it's pointy, it's good to go.

It is not meant to be sharp, it's a sticker that has a specific training package associated with it.  Toninclude drawing right after you draw your pistol to allow you to disengage from people who get to close or attempt to take your pistol

That makes sense. Well I took my spyderco sharpmaker to it. It took about an hour but its sharp now. The point was always sharp though.

I have one and the tip and about an inch down is sharp and then the rest is dull.

Wouldn't be too concerned about it. I've never had a dagger arrive sharp out of the box.
