I'm currently looking to buy a Benelli M4 but I just can't find a place to buy from. I've looked at multiple online dealers and the ones I've visited don't even list it. Is there even a place to backorder online? I don't want to go on an auction site and my local gun store has RIDICULOUS prices on "tactical" style guns ($3000 for an LMT piston and $1900 for a 6920 last time I checked o_O). I don't mind waiting as I know these guns are in high demand, but I'd just like to know where I can even get one. Or am I just screwed...

There are a few on the online auctions, they are sitting between 1800 and 2100 right now. I paid 1350 OTD almost a year ago for mine. There were a few locally for 1600-1800 but I have been overseas a few months, who know if they are there or how much they want. Who knows how long the run on guns will continue. I thought it would have died down a little by now.

I just bought mine last week. I had originally ordered a M3 because I couldn't find a M4, but instead I got a phone call and they told me they sold the M3 before I ordered it, and they told me they had an M4, so I bought it. Paid $1900 for it, I thought about just getting one on gunbroker that was cheaper but by the time the action ended it ended at $1875, so I think it was better that I ordered from a shop instead, plus there's no chance that I will lose my chance to get it then. Finding an M4 now is extremely hard and Benellis can come in at any time, according to the dealers I've talked to, they have given me time frames of anytime to 5-8 months. At one of my local shops they have already sold four out of five that are incoming. Just place a backorder if you don't mind waiting. Me on the other hand I like being able to find it now and get it now.

I got mine from Gander Mountain. I just received a flyer from them listing the M4 for around $1600. Our local store has them in stock occasionally but I'm sure yours could order one for you , or you could check out their website for info.

SBZILLA has one for sale right now on the ee.  he has a extension tube on and wants 1700.  that puts it right in line for what they are selling for in some places.  I bought mine for 1500 a couple of months ago on the ee and it is fantastic.  Mine is camoed.  Check his out.  Seems to be a nice shottie.

The above is the best price around that I have seen in awhile for a new one.  I tried to wait for Gander Mountain to get one in awhile back but it never came in so I just bought mine off of the ee.
