If you can tell me where you bought it or how you made it that would be great. I think this is a awesome way to have a nfa looking range toy without all the ridiculous taxes and hassle. |

No problem there, I finished one just before flintlock season in PA. This is an Early Lancaster style with a 32" Green Mt. 1-28" twist 50cal barrel, Large Siler Deluxe, and iron furnitue. I built this specifically for hunting, hence the short barrel and trueglo sites. I will have to try and get the pics up  For Now here is the URL to google images IMAGE BOOK

Looks good. Here's my kit built Hawken. My dad bought this kit about 25 years ago and never put it together. I inherited it two years ago and put it together this winter.

heres one I bought two weeks ago for $400 at a local shop. It's all original and has most of it's finish still intact with no stock cracks.
The smith said he couldn't get the firing pin to move and the breech block was filled with J.B. Weld. I took it home and removed the breech block and soaked it overnight with P.B. Blaster. I than picked the crud out from around the outside rim of the pin till I got too deep for the pick to reach and tapped the pin out with a brass rod and fixed it right up. I have fired it a few times since. I feel I got my moneys worth.
