So I'm just looking for something different to try.  I currently run a Gcode XST and SOC holster in a RTI duty attachment.  It drop it about a couple inches off my warbelt which is perfect.  I don't like drop legs and a small drop helps it clear body armor when needed.

I've been eyeballing Bladetech's gear over time, but never really looked into it.  I noticed they have a TMMS, which is more or less a modular and quick attachment point.  I'd like to run their level 2 holster (like my Gcode level 2) off their TMMS mount.

Anyone have experience with Bladetech's TMMS system in a dropset type mount?

Which attachment should I go for?  Teklok?   In my warbelt, I have the ability to run directly off the belt versus the molle.

Is one brand head and shoulders above the other?  I know Bladetech has been around for awhile, but I don't see them getting the attention that the RTI systems gets on various forums.

Thanks

Why change a modular system designed to save money and space to another one requiring all new mounting gear? Are they cross compatible?

If not, if it aint broke, etc.

Bladetech holsters can mount on RTI hangers.

RTI supports Safariland, Serpa, G-Code, Bladetech and most custom duty/retention holster makers have RTI as an option.

However, Safariland, Serpa, and Bladetech QD systems only work with their respective holster bodies. I'd stick with RTI hardware and be able to use the holster body of your choice from whatever company you want. When it comes to certain light/laser/optic combos you won't find a factory option, so it will be nice to have universal attachment with the RTI.

It's not that it isn't broken, just want to see what's out there and if something is better.  Don't know 'til I try.

Very good point.  I think that's where the RTI system shines.  It seems to have really trickled down through the firearms accessories community over the years.
