| I have two Octanes, 9 and 45 as well as. Revo 9, all produce blow back, but it is especially bad when shooting my 40 cal hosts. I have a Ti-rant 45M in jail, will this can have less blow back? I was also looking at the 45 Osprey as a potential cure, any thoughts? |

I have an Octane 45 that has pretty bad blowback with several handloads and some factory ammo in my 1911. I recently tried some factory Winchester .45 230gr round nose and the blowback was minimal to nonexistent.
I had a large stock of Unique that I was using in my .45, but I'm about to go to some Bullseye and see how that does. Moral of the post: if handloading is an option, try it. |

There's a reason why Dead Air didn't go with that type of cone baffle for the Ghost-45M. The cone baffle that is used in the Octane (and Revolution) is really good at stopping gas, but it's also really good at directing it back whence it came. Host weapon is also a factor, but it's a distant second. Ammo's a close third.
The Ti-Rant has significantly less blow-back than the Octa-Revo. |

ETA: I only shoot 147gr bullets when suppressed though. |

Do we have any good info on baffle design for the ghost yet? Will it be something similar to the collapsed K's on the mask? all I have come across so far are external pictures and measurements. -Mike |
