Anyone interested in 149 rounds of Blue Tip ammo I purchased from Ammoman back during Ammo day.  I tried one round in my AR50 but it won't fire.  The rounds are different then normal ball I guess.  It had a light primer strike and the bolt wouldn't grab the brass for extraction.  A friend uses them in his Barret 82 but he doesn't need anymore.

I'm planning on taking these to Knob Creek so if anyone is interested, let me know.  I paid 250 but will let it go for less.

I had the same problem with mt AR50 and Talon BTs. I just engaged the rim under the extractor when loading the round and they all went BANG after that. Shot up two cans that way.

I'm not firing talon ammo in any of my weapons again. The stuff has sizing problems, that's why you have to engage it in the bolt in order to fire it. Also, I've had many primers back out of this stuff, burning my bolt face!

Jeep29, that sounds like a nifty idea.  As long as it is safe, I guess I'll give that a try and keep my blue tips.  If I die, you WON'T get my AR50.  lol.

Bullet, I only have one can of Talon and I'm about 1/2 of the way done.  I get all my ammo from Tim Tucker in Oklahoma.  He reloads for me and does a wonderful job.

The Talon BT/Armalite problem came to light about two years ago over on Biggerhammer and the extractor engagement seems to work for everyone.

If you die then I'd bet the AR50 won't be worth having...but what else do you have, just in case???
