Normally I don't really worry about this, but I am working on a project that is kind of retarded in the overkill department, and would love to hear your opinions on which 50oz hydration bladder out there is the most durable. It WILL get beat to shit often.

I'd get a Source.

+1 on Source. I beat mine up all the time, hasn't had any problems.

There are not many options if you think about it, so Source.

I run a Camelbak Chem Bio bladder which is CBRN certified.

If you want overbuilt but not necessarily CBRN, check out Geigreigg. They've got some cool features. I actually use on when I'm working at heights and it's taken everything I can throw at it (12+ days of 16+ hour days at a time). It's also fun spraying people from 100+ feet above them, they get really confused. The ability to pressurize your bladder is great, plus the easy fill and inline filter options make them a good choice. I'm working in Brazil right now and the filter is a must-have. The mosquitos are bad enough without having to worry about the Brazilian version of Montezuma's revenge.

Off topic, but where in Brazil are you? I'm going to Sao Paulo with my wife-to-be's family (from there) in December.

I've been eyeballing the Source, but that's as far as my experience goes.

I can speak to the camelback that I used mountain biking. I have landed and rolled across it on a few occasions without rupturing or damaging the back. Granola bars never faired so well, but the bag held up.

I've had nothing but bad luck with Source bladders. The fill cap always ends up getting broken when it gets banged against something solid (in an out of vehicles, falling down, etc.).

The Camelbak that I linked to is the only bladder I've been able to mount to my plate carrier that hasn't failed within 3 months of use.

I wouldn't say it's bad luck.  My gear just gets used hard.  Also, I'm not sure I would still use a bladder with 6 years of use, even if it still holds water (that is an amazing feat, though).

It doesn't taste like it used to I'll admit that. I used a camelbak in infantry school but it died, used another one in my first unit but it blew out, and then switched to my source before my first deployment. Won't use anything else.
