I was looking for something new, but don't know much about boots and would like some recommendations.

I pretty much want something that is a very durable boot that has to be good in the heat as well as in wet/muddy terrain as I plan to wear these hunting/hiking. They should be somewhat good for alot of walking with a heavy ruck and some running so I'm not regretting it 5 minutes later.

Suggestions?

Thanks

I was issued a pair of these once. Great boots but the version I had was a mountaineering boot, so I know nothing about the rest of them.

Did you have a particular one in mind?

Lowa Zephyr GTX Hiking Boots I have a pair of these that replaced my Vasque's as they wore out. I put a set of Green superfeet in them and they are my go to shoe when not wearing my Converses. I'm usually a 9 but in Lowa's I wear a 9.5.

I bought a pair of Keen Targhee II Mid's and I'm very happy with them. I'm usually pretty picky with boots/shoes and I really haven't had a problem with these.

Yep the Lowa Zephyrs

I have Danners and Keens and would also highly recommend them.

I have had a few pairs of Danner Acadias and they are by far the best pair of footwear I have ever owned. They fit my feet like a glove and sty waterproof forever and when the sole starts coming apart you can have them resoled, but I have just bought new pairs.
