| I'm looking at getting a light weight and durable pair of boots for rucking and general use. I'm looking at Rocky C6 Light Weight and McRae Panama Sole, but I'm open to suggestions. Note: any recommendations must be AR 670-1 compliant. |

Boots are one of the most important piece of gear and there a lot of threads started on this subject.
There should be a sticky thread or a thread like the gear pic threads so we could use as a reference. I know I'd like to know what boots are gtg or will wear out prematurely under certain conditions. |

I *believe* the new offerings from the Salomon Forces line are AR 670-1 compliant. Same for Lowa Task Force. I may be wrong. Regardless, as far as boots go, you really can't beat a good pair of hiking boots like Salomon or Lowa.
Edit: Neither Salomon Forces or Lowa Task Force are 670-1 compliant. |

| Rocky S2V's are the hotness, but you need to shop around, because the $200 price tag at normal retail sucks. I've heard good things about the S2V jungles, and while they are allowed by reg, I haven't seen a pair in person, so I'm not sure if they would pass 670-CSM. |
