Sooo while waiting for my C&R license I was going to order a bound book from brownells :) I guess I forgot that step my license came in today.

I went to Brownells and a bound book does not show when I search is my searchfoo just weak ?

whats the best way to make your own bound book I did search but most info is from 2007-20010 and just wondered what was current. Can I just copy the basic pdf that is out there and print a few toss them in a 3 ring binder ?
Will I get a welcome to the club pack from the atf that has a book in it ?

I don't need a purdy glossy well made $50 book. Unless I get more addicted than I think :) I doubt there will be more than 10 items.I don't tend to sell firearms even the ones I hate to the core like the Ruger LC9 I thought felt so good in the store and after the first shot hated the little sucker.

Thanks for any info

The printout in a 3 ring binder is good enough. That's what I've always used. The packet you get from the BATFE doesn't have anything for a bound book in it (at least, mine never did). Doesn't have to be fancy. Just functional.

Surplusrifles.com had a sample page you can print out for a 3 ring binder. This what I use.

There's room for 5 or 6 entries and I leave the backside blank. Rather than punching hole in the paper I put it in a clear page holder, found at Walmart, and then put my receipt and/or packing slips in behind the page. That way they are handy and organized with whatever page the gun is entered on.

What about a standard-issue two pocket folder?

This is what I have used for years in a three ring binder.  Why waste money on a store bought book when you can print this out for a few cents.

I use the Brownells book.  It's set up nice.

I used the 3 ring binder.  It even passed an audit with the ATF too.
