Wow, that's really bad, this is not normal. I have had some shotgun shells for several years and they have no rust.
Make sure you donn't shoot these, and yes I would call Federal or take thenm back to Dunham's. I think they were stored in a very damp place of the store. |

So far, I've had absolutely no luck getting in touch with Federal. I sent an e-mail using the "Contact Us" on Tuesday 04/26 and haven't heard back. I called the number on the same page Monday 05/02 and twice on Tuesday 05/03, but it appears nobody actually answers the phone. I've left messages on both occasions but haven't yet heard back. If I don't hear from Federal by the end of the week, I guess I'll try to dig up a phone number for their executive offices. Edit: I'm a dumbass. |

| So what did the seller say? Where they given the chance to make it right? It seems like you are holding Federal accountable for something that PROBABLY happened in transit or most likely in the store. Some stock clerk probably spilled his big gulp and set the box in the puddle... |
| i would go to the store first, i know most/all stores dont allow ammo returns but if you just want an exchange they should help you out. those are rusted pretty bad. those things must have been in a swamp, they look really really rusted. If that dosent work call the mfgr but i would guess 80% that the ammo got like that because it was stored in a damp area. |

I agree with the two posters above. Leave Federal out of this unless and until your retailer refuses to remedy the situation.
There is just no way in hell those shot shells left the factory like that. That's poor storage doing that - a retailer's problem,... not yours,... not Federal's. |

But they always called me back. May take 7 days or so. When you get this cleared up. Let us know what Federal did? One way or the other! PITA45
P.S. Where did you buy the ammo at? |
