I have a couple of these and was hoping if someone could tell me the correct nomenclature of them. 85-pattern, 95-pattern, ect.

Jacket #1:  Is a courser material like the old USGI NYCO Twill BDUs. Its has pockets on the back of both sleeves and no liner. Inside pocket on both sides of the chest. Velcro tab adjustments on the sleeve cuffs.

Jacket #2: Is a sort of "fuzzy"material (Brushed cotton?) It only has one sleeve pocket and has a sewn in liner. Inside pocket on only the left side of the chest. Button tab sleeve/cuff adjustments.

Neither one has the hidden hood or zippered chest pockets. Both have the slant pockets on the chest.

Do you recognise either of them at this link?

Thanks for the link.

I think #1 is a 85 pattern. It has the bellowed pockets and I suppose it could be described as having a "half liner"

I think #2 is a 68 pattern. hard to tell they all look very simular to me.

That's something at least.

I wish I knew more about the various generations of the DPM issued stuff, but I don't know much I'm afraid.

You could try cross-posting this in the UK Home Town Forum, there's a bunch of guys there that were in the Army, or know there way around army surplus gear.
