Ok, it has been a while since i posted, but my GSG has worked fine since the ejector fix almost a year ago. after many many rounds, it now appears my rifle will not extract an empty casing from the barrel/chamber.
So I will call Ray this morning and see what I need to do to get it fixed. But I am very disappointed. It took 3 times to get the ejector fixed and now this, and as my warranty is up next year, I am considering selling this rifle so I do not have to worry about it.... I have never had this many loose parts/screws/etc with a rifle in my life and it concerns me. /* RANT OFF */ |

I think they are fun to shoot but I wouldn’t buy one until they come down to a reasonable price for what they are.
They are so inexpensive to shoot you can put thousands of rounds through them and they get beat up. I think that’s why people have so many problems with them. I’m looking for a good deal on a used one. |

That's why I sold mine. I no longer trusted it for long term usage. A .22 will go through thousands more rounds that most other firearms don't have to go through
so reliability/durability is a huge deal for me. I want something that 10+ years down the road will perform like the Ruger my dad bought me when I was younger and still works great to this day. I have a lot more faith that the dedicated .22 upper I bought will be able to do this. $500 is a lot of money to spend for a .22 and too much for one that doesn't seem to have much potential for long term usage. I would only consider buying one again if they lowered the price, upgraded the quality, or backed it with a lifetime warranty. |

or backed it with a lifetime warranty. +10 I bought mine through a dealer that uses Davidson's as a supplier... per their advertising blurb, it has a lifetime warranty through them. They will either fix it or replace it, for life... Now, if GSG/ATI were to do the same thing... that would be marvelous... *poke* ATI Chris?? Are you out there?? *poke* *poke* |

So I spoke to Ray, he will send me the part I need, I checked one of my other ones, the extractor is definitely broken...there is NO POINT on it at all. so now, we wait. and I have one of the first ones ...serial # REALLY LOW .... so we see how long I am down. Are the extractor shims still in place? |

sorry. been a while since i had a chance to get back here. yes the shims were still in place. kudo's to ati, they sent the parts to fix, and it works great now.
the round count is approx 45000. I put 30,000 rounds taking it to knob creek the first weekend I had it. we shot it almost non-stop for 3 days. and as I own a range, it is easy to do this......it is 14 months old.... THANK YOU RAY!!!!!!! |
