So I have one in my closet. Belgium made, has a browning marked scope on it. Been meaning to take it to my local 'smith and have it completely torn down and cleaned. Gun is in excellent shape. Cleaned fairly regularly although not torn down due to the scope. I hope and imagine the bore should be in good shape as it shoots like a dream. This was my fathers gun, he picked it up for $25 dollars years ago. He shot the hell outta this little gun but took care of it. I saw the survival rifle thread and after seeing the price on some of these I am thinking of retiring it to the safe if it is in the condition I think and hope it is. I am planning on a 10/22 build but am considering a new SA22 as I love this little gun so much. What are ya'lls thoughts? Retire and replace or keep shooting this gun? Does anyone know of a case that would hold it torn down or am I just gonna need to make one?

well, I would keep it, and conserve it.  Since you never, ever see one of those at gun
shows going for less than 400 bucks, i would def put in it's best condition. then put in a gunsock, then in a copper bag, then in a regular bag, with a vci disc.
