I have been reloading 12 gauge 7.5-9 shot birdshot to balance the cost of practicing while at home and saving the good stuff for the tournaments.
Does anyone know where to find load data for buckshot loads? I have some high brass hulls I would like to utilize. Also, I spent 25 bux on 5 pounds of buckshot. anyone have a source for something cheaper and/or in larger quantities? |

Lee Precision makes a 00 buckshot mold. You can turn wheel weights into buckshot with a little effort.
That is if your state still allows lead wheel weights. NY banned those too. I saw on youtube that someone also cooked up a Buck & Ball recipe too that looks interesting. Good luck. |

I reloaded buckshot for my 870 for range work. As mentioned Lee now has a 18 cav 00 buck mold. I got a Lee double cav .311 RB and a Lyman single cav .375 both for my cap and ball Colts. Load them up 3x3 or 2x5 (.311) or 2x3 of .375.
