I am interested in an HK53.  I checked HKPARTS.net and they have lowers and lots of part. Is it cost efficient to build it like this, or is ot better to get a clone and start replacing parts with HK parts. Semi/Auto BTW.

I see a stripped lower,  is it easy to build?

Ok price is not that great for parts.

Only receiver available is from Vector and its $414 plus shipping. HK .223 Lower is 425 complete.  Has anyone put one of these together before to save $$?

Buying a clone and upgrading seems the most cost effective and wisest investment IMHO.

EDIT to add: HKPARTS.net has excellent customer service, I called 2x and had multiple questions. Adam Weber was very professional and helpful, I will be buying parts from them in the future.

Just joking......well, half joking.

The way your post was worded sounded like you were building a HK53 yourself. If you are class II, it's cool, otherwise it's a long stay at the Graybar Hotel.

Good luck with your build.

Does HK53 specify F/A?  If so I clarified my initial post.

It's all good Bro, an HK53 is F/A.

BTW, Adam is a great guy to deal with, he can give you any info you might need, as well as good deals on parts.
