I was at a hoemtown shoot a few weeks ago and a memebr told me that he had gone to a forum (not here) where there was aposted list of parts needed to build mags for the 22/45. He mentioned that by buying the parts and putting them togethr it was cheaper than buying them form a store; like $9 per mag as opposed to $19-$23 per mag. He also mentioned that the ruger phone operator knew of this but didn't have a parts list specifically for this project.

It was soemthing like mkII forums or ruger mk II forums or soemthing along that line but the ones I came up with don't work. Anybody have any help? I would post it in the hometown section but figured in this section it would be of more help to others.

Likely here. (That forum was down for several months, but was recently resurrected with a new host)

ETA; We've got our own new Rimfire Pistol section now too.

Thanks ODT!! You da man that was the forum I was looking for!

I had no idea we had a rimfire pistol section here at ARFCOM. Thanks for pointing me to it!!

ETA: maybe you could move this over there.

The section is very new, thanks to Goatboy, and to the staff members who supported the idea.

I can't move to, only from. But it should help consolidate the rimfire pistol questions that have been scattered about AR15.com.

I read the same post about the mag kits. I contacted Ruger about the kits numerous times, I was always told they were out of stock & was given a time frame to when they would have more. Guess what, they never had them in that time frame! Finally I was told they quit selling the kits & only sell complete mags now.

What I wouldn't have given to get about 10 of the kits.

Anybody know of a place that sells 22/45 mags for a decent price?

Man, what a bummer.  I got 10 of the Mk II mag parts, and 10 of the 22/45 mag parts and assembled 20 brand new mags for about 7.90 ea shipped.  Took all of 10 minutes to do.  Too bad they choked on us!!!!
