Ok, there are several kits such as the Haynes kit out on the market that you could build your own IR. What exactly would one need to build a IR laser? What type of diode would be the proper diode to put in as the light source? What kind of power requirements are we talking to feed a super IR? I might be out in left field, but I have had a little experience building small devices like this and I thought it would be fun to try this out. Let me say the other deviceses were not in the IR neighborhood not even light producing devices, but as far as getting the parts and putting it all toghter it should be a problem. I thought it would be neat to build something on the order of a Q-beam IR. This might be more that I want to tackle. I have a Izlid 51 from BE myers I had to send back for some repairs, and they gave me the run around about it being in a sterile enviroment to tear it down and put it back togther???? Maybe I was getting the run around I don't know that is why I'm comming to the holy grail of Night vision HERE! Even if this was a crude laser/flood it would be neat to say I built it! |
