I posted this in the bullpup forum but could use a larger audiance for help:
Does anyone know someone helpful at bushmaster (phone ext) I can call to verify my 2 M17s sitting at my dealer are preban. My dealer has called twice and waiting for a call back, I have sent an email and am now waiting on hold for 30 minutes for customer service. It's been almost 2 weeks I have been waiting to bring these home. Someone suggested Elijah but the ext I had for him was wrong.... ANYONE? I called bushmaster again today and they told me I am SOL as they no longer have records of thier old serial numbers. No way to verify. I also called Windham and they at least were very nice but said they did not take the old records. Is it even LEGAL for a company to not have kept the records of guns they made and sold. I know these guns are preban as the threading is factory and the barrels are the same legnth from 2 different sellers. But my dealer won't let me have them until they hear from bushmaster they are pre ban... WTF $1800 out of pocket and I can't take them home |

Call Remington Arms
Bushmaster was moved into the Remington Arms complex in New York state. They may be able to direct you to a department with the records. If the books were turned over to BATFE and a new license was issued, you may be sol but they should have retained the shipping records if you have an exact or close date when the guns were shipped. |
