There is a member here "Gonzo" - something that does logos for a living. He does fantastic work and his prices are very reasonable.
It helps if you have an idea of what you are looking for. I sent him some rough paintshop stuff I came up with... just to give him a visual of what I had in mind. My advice is to come up with something unique, but "catchy". First image that came to mind when I read your business name was scope crosshairs. I would try to incorporate that into your logo somehow... to indicate marksmanship / accuracy / etc... Gonzo's logo rendition was leaps and bounds better than anything I could have anticipated.  We went with his logo... and it's now on all our business cards, store sign hanging out front, letterhead, etc...
It took about a month of back n forth emails and tweaking until we were both completely satisfied with the logo. I have a guy building me a website... so currently it's just a .pdf of my business card, loaded to a GoDaddy starter page... but it will give you an idea of what we came up with. www.stonycreekoutfitters.com No disrespect meant for the poster/logo solicitation above.
