I have a 10/22 that I replaced the barrel on (Green Mountain) and have 5 factory 10 rounders that work perfect in it.  I then bought a new BC steel lip high cap and it will not even feed the first round no matter how many rounds are loaded in it.  That first round lodges on the bottom of the bullet and will not chamber.

So.........I tried the BC in 2 other 10/22s owned by others and the mag feeds and fuctions perfectly.  Is this just due to a tolerance stackup of some sort?  Am not sure what to do here because the mag does function fine in other rifles.  Guess I could sell the mag to someone who has a rifle it would work in which apparently is everyone else's but mine.  Suggestions?

I had the same problems.

I ditched them and now use Butler Creek hotlips (I know, they seem lesser quality due to the thin plastic feed lips,) they seem to work in all my 10/22s where the Steel lips did not. I also have 1 of the tactical innovations polymere mags that is adjustable so it should work for everything as well.

I think that is the major issue with 10/22s and all the high cap mags.

Ramlines work perfect for Joe, but won't work at all for Steve and John. BC hot lips work great for John, but not Joe and Steve, etc......

I think the 10/22 is very inconsestant and that is the exact reason why some love particular mags and hate others.

That is exactly what I have found in my many years of playing with the 10/22..

My $0.02.....

Hmmmm?! I just bought one of those TI 25 and saw this thread.  I won't open the package and return it then.
