Is it true they got more in along with bayos?
has anyone heard?? |

Was nice to see "...the quantity is large enough to satisfy our customer needs for several years."
But as already stated I too am curious of the price. Of course it will be cheaper than newly manufactured ammo, but with today's prices that isn't really saying much. |

Don't you guys know that the bullets are STEEL jacketed on that stuff? IIRC some may be steel core. Steel jacket? That's something I've never seen. ![]() i thought thats why CMP has to check all the ammo, because someone complained or raised a concern over getting black tip ammo in their order. i don't have a garand/cmp ammo, but have been lurking around and picking up info. |

There was tracer and AP in the batch they were selling last year. That's one of the reasons the supply seemed to dwindle so quickly. The Greek ammo and alot of USGI M2 used copper-coated soft steel as the jacket. That's why it attracts a magnet. |

Well, its STEEL and not copper liek its supposed to be. Yeah, I know they are selling all sorts of Ruskie/imported steel stuff that actually goes "bang" in a gun, but I would not want to subject a precision instrument like a Garand to any imported steel junk. But, its your rifle. Feed it what you want but be ready to face the consequences. |
