| I'm sure that this has probably been covered in past threads, but I missed them. I ordered my first Garand from CMP on July 13th, on average, how long will it be before I can expect the order to be processed? Also, I'd like to log in and check my order status, but have no customer number. Can you check your order status without a customer number? Thanks for any help. |
| It seems that folks have been receiving rifles within 2-3 weeks of their order lately. A couple of guys on Jouster.com ordered at the end of June and already have fired their new rifles. You will get your customer number when the order is processed. You may be able to call on Friday or so and ask if you have been given a number yet. I did that with my first order, and they were very understanding of my enthusiasm. Good luck on your new rifle. If anything is wrong with it, the CMP folks are great at making you happy. |

Cheer up! When I ordered my Garand from the old DCM, it took a year to the day from the day I sent in the paperwork till the USPS delivered it registered mail, and I wasn't at home. You can thank our "friend" Ted Kennedy for speeding up the delivery of the Garands by privatizing the DCM, and turning it into the what we know today as the CMP. |

Got mine last month. It was almost exactly four weeks from the time I sent in the application (priority mail) to the day the rifle was delivered. I e-mailed CMP (try [email protected]) and requested my customer number to check status on the CMP Store site. A short while later CMP also sent a generic e-mail with the number when my order went into the "Processing" state. |
Right. It hasn't gone into "Processing" yet. On the bright side though, now you can check on it three or four times a day. |
