Thanks for looking.  I've been over to the CMP website and checked out their eligibility requirements but I'm still confused on what all they will need from me.  I'm currently in the military and an 03FFL/SOT...do they still need a copy of my birth certificate, drivers license, etc...?  Do people mail in the copies of information or scan and e-mail?  I'm just trying to do everything right the first time and in a timely manner as I am trying to order some of the .30 Carbine ammo before it's gone, then start ordering a can or two of the Garand ammo as additional funds become available.  Also, I'm curious on how long the process usually takes to become registered?  Thanks again.

If you just want ammo, a copy of military ID is proof of citizenship and proof of membership in a CMP affiliated organization.  As long as you're not ordering a rifle, you can fax in your order.

Technically I don't see where the order form asks for proof of age when ordering ammo but I'm assuming they verify it.  I'm not mil so I don't know if your ID has your DOB.  If it does you should be all set.

Seems to be taking about a week or so to assign a customer number right now but you could always give sales a call (256-835-8455) to verify.

Thanks!  Just ordering ammo right now but I figured it would be easier to just register for everything at the same time and be done with it so that's why I had the other questions.

No problem.  The only other thing you'd have to provide in order to fully register (in case you want a rifle at some point) is proof of marksmanship related activity and your mil ID takes care of that too.

All set, order form if you need it.
