Hi there, everyone!
some time ago (almost 2 years, I think) I started a thread about the Condor Softshell Jacket. That thread went on for a looong time and many people, me included, got the info they needed regarding size, fit etc. Now I'm in the market for some affordable Fleece Jackets and, again, it seems the Condor offerings might be just what I'm looking for There's 2 models, the ALPHA (no hood) and SIERRA (with hood) and, of course, they have a striking resemblance to TAD Gear stuff.... so, I own several Condor Softshells in size M from back in the day when they only had one model, today it's called the SUMMIT. I suppose they didn't change the sizing when re-naming it the SUMMIT....? M fits loose enough for some layering ( 5'10 / 170lbs ) and I'm thinking that maybe S would be a better choice for the Fleece Jackets... any 1st hand experience? ideas / thoughts / hints?? go ahead, shoot! |

I have the alpha. I am the same build as you. I ordered a medium but got a large, and the arge fits just fine after one wash on hot. The medium would have been perfect. Thanks for the Input!! how tight / loose would a Medium fit, in your opinion? I'm not really planning to wear too much underneath, only a Tshirt and a light Turtleneck... |

Thanks guys!!
like I said, my Summit Softshell in Medium is a little bit on the loose side, I'm thinking of getting a Phantom in S, actually! But, according to your observations, the Fleece Jackets should be M, right? Does anyone here own a Summit AND either or both Fleece Jackets??? that info would be right on the money, then! Thanks again

I own both the soft shell and the alpha fleece. I'm 5'9", 150 lbs and I have a medium for the fleece, large for the soft shell. I'll probably get a medium soft shell in the future for those times that I don't need to layer since it can get a bit big if I don't. The fleece fits me very well in the medium size. I think it would suit you fine. Very comfortable as well |
| I have the ALPHA too and overall I'm pretty happy with it. My only concern is that I got a medium and the sleeves are about 1 or 2 inches short so i have to wear it with those little flaps down so it doesn't look weird. I'm 6' 160 and I don't have freakishly long arms or anything so I would have expected the sleeves to be a bit longer but besides that I'm very happy with it and would definitely recommend it. |
