What is the maximum effective range of a CX4 in 9mm ?
Just asking out of curiosity.

Thanks.

Most post I've read said that maximum effective range was just at 100 yards.

I have the .45 ACP one and I can land all eight rounds on a steel plate at 100 yards offhand.

I dn't know if the 9mm is any more or less accurate then that.

I had a 9mm CX4 storm ( sold for funds ) and it would reach out to 100 yards with no problem.

Groups sizes averaged 5-8 inches.

Just got mine in .45 a few weeks ago. Lots of fun, but not overly happy with the trigger. Anyone have theirs worked? I also want to flip the safety and mag release to left-handed, but the manual only says to consult a qualified gunsmith. Instructions anyone?  tks

I reversed the safety, mag release, and ejection on my Storm.  With moderate mechanical abilities, it's not very difficult....a couple of springs that can be tricky during reassembly.  Email me for instructions.

It's not too difficult a conversion to do. Took me about half an hour and it was nice to have a 3x glass to work under.

Nice design work, Beretta!

Thanks for the info.

So I could probably expect about 100 yards of effective range from...say a Winchester 9mm Luger through the CX4 ?

I've only fired one of these, so I'm not real familiar with the mechanics of it.  Can the bolt handle be switched to the left slide without switching anything else?

Yes, the handle can be switched to either side.  I've even seen one with a handle on both sides...it looked kinda dumb.

Pretty much everything is reversible except the bolt release.
