I've got a CZ 527 American that utilizes the 5 round mags but have been looking into the possibility of going with a 3 round mag that fit flush to make it easier to carry while hunting. I know the original trigger guard/ mag well can be modded to work but will the trigger guard off of the 527 M1 model that uses the 3 round mags work/drop in?  I'd rather have 2 set ups that I could switch back and forth.

Tagged for curiosity sake.

I know some people don't like the look of that mag sticking out, but I never heard of it being an actual issue. I may be one of the few, but I actually kind of like the look of it.

ETA: I have four 527s.

I don't really mind the look but I have a habit of carrying a rifle at my side one handed right where the mag sticks out. 3 Rounds would be plenty for hunting situations as well. I have 2 CZ's. The 527 in .223 and a 452 American .22. The quality is awesome on the CZ stuff in my opinion. The turkish walnit is a bit soft and dings pretty easily but that's a minor issue. I'm considering a 550 American at the moment. Perhaps in .308.

I'd call CZ and see if it will work.

But the cost of the trigger guard and new mags may be a bit high.

Just buy a new one.
