| Why can't I put "multi" on a F1 but Mega can put "multi" on a lower? |

Why can't I put "multi" on a F1 but Mega can put "multi" on a lower? Because you are building it as a specific caliber, given that an SBR by definition must have a short, rifled barrel. When Mega manufactured the lower and sold it as an unbarreled receiver it had no caliber, so the multi was acceptable to the ATF at that time. |

The "multi" Mega uses on their lower is legally meaningless. They could not put "multi" on the gun at all. Quoted:

Can't you have multiple uppers of different calibers for a registered SBR lower? Can't you have a 5.56, a 300BLK, and a 6.8 upper for your Lower? You can for a 16" + rifle or a pistol. |

But, "making" (Form 1 = Application to Make and Register a Firearm) is a one time act, and you can only make it to a specific single caliber. You can configure it however you want after the fact, regardless of length (barrel <16" or greater than 16") or caliber. |

Thus I am hesitant to engrave "Phased Plasmo Rifle in the 40 Watt Range" as it does not seem to work? |

Don't tell me it's meaningless!!!! Maybe Mega did build it as a pistol...then disassembled it, refinished it, and sold my FFL the lower. Every think about that tough guy?
