Is Calico sub guns making a come back with their 50 - 100 round 9mm helical drum magazines? My neighbor has one inbound, one of their post ban models. Maybe he will let me coon finger it for awhile. |

The M-100P (Pistol) I had years ago needed the chamber polished, after that, it had no problems. I never heard of the 9mm models having problems.
Calico is re-releasing all of their models with rails and stuff all over them. They're also going to introduce a 40 S&W model. Before the assault weapon ban from '96-'06(?) put them into hibernation, they were planning on introducing a 5.56 model with a staggered helical feed magazine. That's what I'm looking forward to. |

The triggers are pretty bad on the 9mm and I have had jamming problems.
I have the .22 and 9mm models, both older, nothing new production. The original owner in Arizona or wherever it was in the south west was a stand up guy but the new owners in Oregon are not. I was on their mac upper list for over 2 years and it never materialized. They took pre-orders and I was one of the dumb bastards that bit. Took over 6 months to get a refund and the check bounced the first time I tried to cash it. Buyer beware. |

After hearing the hate & discontent about it here and on Uzitalk, I'm glad I held off. Not a company I care to do business with. |

We placed an order with them at a Dealer show, Took 2 years and a Judge to get our money back. They Kept coming up with excuses as to why they did not get them out. After awhile they would just hang up the phone on us. If you are dealing direct with them be very careful and do not give money up front. The guy that own Calico also has a gun store in Oregon, Dual Smoking Gunns Check out the reviews for his gun store, they rob people left and right. Calico has not even been registered with their state to conduct business for some time now. |

Quoted: If we are talking about the Mac uppers, I have ne experience. If we are talking the complete semi-auto guns, I have had damn near 2 of each model. I had some of the original pre-ban ones, and have had more recent production guns as well. They guns ran fine for me as long as they were reasonable clean and decent ammo. The .22 guns were more hit and miss, I had the best luck winding the drums a few turns less then reccomended. I had 3 different 9mm carbines and 1 9mm pistol. They rarely skipped a beat actually. I wouldn't buy any of the .22s again, but I have no hate for the 9mm guns. They do seem a little toy-ish, and they aren't built to take any hard use. I lost interest, and went back to 9mm ARs. I modified my last ones a bit....funny thing is, the new railed versions seem to be very similar to what I did with mine. http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/9calico_002.jpg http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/22calico_005.jpg With the angles of the pistol grip and the general shape of the gun itself, that setup you have there is just begging for the AFG. |
