I got this in a box of parts and have no idea what it is it's around 9mm and is unmarked.
9mm parabellum is too long, 380 seems a bit loose so I'm thinking it's a 9×18mm Makarov (don't have a cartridge to test)

Can any of you ID it because I'm stumped.

Looks like a Beretta 92 barrel externally. The 84 has a different profile since it's a blowback and doesn't need the locking bits.

Could be a Taurus PT 58 barrel. PT 58 was a Taurus 92 clone chambered in .380 ACP.

I still haven't done any more research but here are a 9mm parabelum  (sticks out too far?), and a .380 ACP (length looks right but it rattles around) inserted into it.

Looks to be about the right protrusion for 9mm. Remember that the breech is going to enshroud the head of the case, and there needs to distance for the extractor to do its thing.
