Hey GSG-5 owners....I was wanting to get one of these guns to use with my gemtech outback. I have seen that gemtech is making an adapter to use a can with these guns. Is the adapter plug and play or is gunsmithing required?

You have to cut the barrel first.

Wait for the GSG-5PK, no cutting from what I hear.

Why do you have to cut the barrel i was recently wondering... is it because the adapter will not slip over the existing barrel? Does the adapter taper in the front? I have seen pics but not up close...

The barrel on the pistol is still too long and must be cut to the correct over all length.
