| I just got a Stanag claw mount with a Hensoldt Z24 and mounted them on a JLD PTR91. On my last range trip I couldn't hit the paper at 100 yards for some reason. Then I slowed down and noticed the canted scopen and mount. I took it off, and remounted it... to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this issue? |

Try adjusting the mounts "claw" Look on the underside of the mount and you'll see a couple of round mounting pads. These will come out if you take the eclip off the top side. Remove them and you'll find several very small washers under them. Remove one on each pad and put it back together and try it again. http://www.mg-42.net/G3_scope.htm |

I would check if the claw cuts and rear sight assembly are correctly formed and cut. Do you know anybody else with a 91 style rifle? IF its a real German mount, its unlikely to have been incorrectly built. Id bet its the JLD receiver.
The maching operations on the original HK receivers for the mounting of the claw lock were one of the more critical operations on the receiver during production. |
