| Anyone ever do it with a file, demel, or die grinder? |

Yep, I've done it with a hand file. It wasn't very hard. Just stop early; you can always file a little more. Once you go to far, it's too late. Wow, you used a hand tool on a full auto carrier till it was SP1 spec? How long did that take you? If I didn't use a mill, I would have used a dremel and then cleaned it up with a file. Whatever method you use, make sure the corners are square and not rounded. M60Joe said that square corners are needed for proper disco trip. |

I'm modding an AR15 semi carrier. About 1/8" to remove. But I'll probably use a die grinder or dremel and finish off with a hand file like you suggest. Thanks. |

Until I looked back at a pic of the difference between FA, Semi and SP1 carriers, I thought SP1 was in between FA and Semi. I must have looked quickly back in the day and transposed Semi and SP1. |
