I got a buddy who is wanting me to cast bullets for him to sell in his online store, I have been casting for a little while for myself and truly like it and making a buck or two wouldnt hurt my feelings a bit. Question I have is, Are there any legalities we should be aware of? I assume I could sell them being as it is just lead and could be repurposed for anything. So if anyone knows anything on the subject and would like to fill me in I would appreciate it

I don't think you could make 'em fast enough.
Guys like me buy 3000-5000 at a time. How long would it take you to make that many ?
Plus time to lube and size, you'll get sick of casting and never want to see another lb of lead the rest of your life.
I cast some of my own too. I don't mind doing it for myself but I sure wouldn't want to do it for a few extra bucks. Too much trouble and time consuming. And boring.

+1

This is why the pros use something like a Magma commercial bullet caster that retails for $11k.  A small local operation ran four of these on the weekend and then spent the rest of the week sizing, lubing, and packaging after his 9-5 job.  If you are going to make any sort of financial sense in doing this, it will have to become a second job.

Older Magma equipment can be found for a lot less then that , they just aren't as fast.  My caster is good for 17,500 in 8 hours the luber runs at 4000 cycles an hour

This.

You'll get sick and tired of it after a short time and won't make any money on it.

Just do it for yourself,

I don't think you could make any money for the time you spend casting and lubing with home casting equipment.

I tried doing that back it the early 80's.
I couldn't supply one dealer/friend.
I ran two 8 cav moulds, two 20lb pots and ran them through a Star luber.
IT'S NOT WORTH IT!
I have better things to do with my time than trying to supply everyone in town with cast bullets, I'd rather be shooting.
Now, I can't even look at a mould without thinking the stars that 10 years ago, I just did all the casting I will ever need.
