I think it's 3-4 years old but isn't used much. It's always unplugged when not in use. Anyways the 2 button now results in a 3 most of the time. I've tried unplug re plug as well as taking it off the scale and reconnecting.

I read this has happened to others and they ended up not getting any support from rcbs.

Anybody have any insight? How does the hornady compare if I replace it?

That's an expensive machine compared to my basic electronic scale.
YOu should call rcbs and let them tell YOU you're sol.

I got a 50% credit towards a new scale when I called. Iirc, it was a refurbished but so what; it works and is still going.

I've read online about this problem with the Chargemaster. The board inside has a lot of "cold solder" joints. I've read of people just reflowing the solder joints and it fixed the problem.

Just searched youtube and found a video.

I've worried about this with mine and it's only a few months old, but I've been loading 200-400 rounds a week with it. I would hope RCBS will help you out on getting it fixed or replaced.
