If you happen to have a Gander Mountain in your area, they have the 2 3/4" Federal Tru-Ball Rifled Slugs on sale for $1.25 a box (Standard & Low Recoil). There is a 5 box limit per customer, but I just came back an hour later to buy more. I think the sale ends 8-17-08, so stock up if you have a GM in your area.

They are not listed on the online circular for the store I bought them at, but at that price it doesn't hurt to call. I'm going back before the 17th to buy at least 10 more boxes.

I'll stop by one tomorrow to see....sounds WAY too good to be true for a chain wide sale. Gander is real proud of their ammo and it is reflected in the prices.

I was in Duluth Sat. and stopped at Gander Mountain and didn't notice any deals.... lots of xm 193 @ 8.99/20, but when I looked for buckshot and slugs I didn't notice a sale of that sort.
