Looking for a cheap optic for a AR .22
What do you guys recommend?

I'm thinking about the vortex stinger or primary arms m3

either will be fine.
Primary arms Micro dot gets my vote

I like my two optics from Primary Arms.

I will probably go with one of their Micro red dots for my SBR build.

Never heard of the Vortex Stinger?  How about a Vortex Strikefire?

I bet that's what the OP was thinking of.

I got the Vortex strikefire and I like it plus it has a night vision setting which I'll probably never use.  Seems like a good rugged sight and co witnesses with my BUIS perfectly.   I bought the one with red only and AR riser mount.  Red Green model supposedly didn't have enough brightness on clear sunny days but mine is fine.

I have one PA M3 clone and 2 of their scopes.

For a budget (Around $100) I would highly recommend them.

Got a Bushnell TRS-25 for $79 that is pretty clear, solid, and bright.  So far I'm happy with it.  Should be great on a .22.

I got a Tasco red dot from Wal-Mart on a riser on my .22 AR.  Definitely need a riser of some sort for a comfortable cheek weld.  For a total of $60 it works great and is slightly brighter than some of my higher end RDS's.

The Primary Arms M3 just went on sale for $69 with a free mount. If they are still in stock it will run through 11/20.
